Since my initial training in 2005 I have consistently sought out educational opportunities to expand my skill set. I have training and experience in a wide range of modalities including Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, CranioSacral and Reiki therapies. I graduated from Sutherland-Chan in Toronto and have studied with Upledger and Esalen Institutes in the United States.

I enjoy working at all points on the spectrums of pressure and pace. When providing Deep Tissue massage I am able to work at an appropriate pace that allows the body to make the necessary therapeutic adjustments. Reiki and CranioSacral Therapies require keen attention to subtle shifts in the body. My guiding philosophy is that the key to an effective and satisfying massage is clear communication anchored in listening. Listening to your words and to your body’s response throughout the treatment. I believe that above all else your massage should be both effective and enjoyable.

I am an authorized provider for Veterans’ Affairs Canada and the RCMP.

Kathleen is a Registered Massage Therapist, registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She was formerly an RMT in San Diego, California where she first learned about the benefits of massage therapy and practiced her craft for seven years before moving back to Ontario to start all over again.

A recent honours graduate of Trios College (formerly International Academy of Applied Health), Kathleen has also explored her interest in myofascial techniques with hands-on seminars around the USA, learning the John F. Barnes methodology. Her other workshops include applied aromatherapy, and she recently completed a TMJ workshop here in Ottawa.

With a broad range of experience, from equestrian and cycling sports, performing arts, and working in IT, Kathleen is able to identify with many different aspects of how the body responds to repetitive patterns, and uses her understanding of those mechanics to help clients with their goals. She is a passionate advocate of massage therapy for physical and mental well-being and encourages a whole-mind-and-body approach to health. Her focus in treatment is being curious, present, and open so that she is in harmony with her clients.

Kathleen enjoys hiking, reading, and gourmet cooking in her free time and tends to be a home-body until someone reminds her how much she loves to travel.
